Write for us
Prime Arts Review welcomes considered proposals from writers with a clear subject, a distinct point of view and care for readers who may be new to the form. Pitches should suit our arts coverage and offer more than a broad opinion.
What we welcome
We consider pitches on visual art, music, theatre, literature and craft, including close readings, comparisons, histories, explanations of form and thoughtful ways into a work or practice. A useful proposal has a defined question, a fresh angle and a reason the subject will interest a general arts reader.
Shape a good pitch
Tell us the working idea, the main point you expect to make and what readers will come away understanding or noticing. Mention the relevant form, work or tradition and the context needed to handle it well. Keep the pitch focused, and flag any personal, financial or other connection that could affect how readers view the piece.
How to send it
Send proposals through the Contact page, choosing the editorial question option and including your pitch in the message. Please do not send a complete unsolicited manuscript unless it has been requested. A proposal is not a promise of publication; any next steps can be discussed if the idea suits the publication.
